[SP] Lasers
Quote from Mog on May 24, 2011, 5:15 amA short, simple map. My first one. You'll have to use some clever thinking (or not) in order to light up the required laser relays.

Quote from Kibate on May 24, 2011, 6:30 amThere is a bug, i was able to light all 5 things, but one of the X's on the doors didn't light up and so the exit was still close
also what is the use for 2 normal cubes? (one appeared over the bridge and one when you activate one of the top laser receivers)
other than nice map

Quote from Hanzik on May 24, 2011, 10:59 amSame thing happened to me. If the door open and you force them to close, it will never open again.
Other than that, it's pretty simple, clean and well created map.

. I'd estimate it takes about 5 minutes to solve, but there are multiple solutions.
Here's an interesting one:solution

Quote from Kibate on May 24, 2011, 1:54 pmI've tried this map again due to people being able to solve it, and this time i did another approach, one that seems more like the correct solution, and it worked, the door oppened
however my old solution should have worked too, don't know where the bug was.Anyway with this new solution and working door i can say great map!

other than nice mapI built in a little trick. Initially, there is one relay that is already lit up. That blocks the door from opening, so when you make the laser stop shooting at it, an X should become a check mark. I hope that's the one you're talking about
Also about the two solid cubes, I changed the map many times, and when I arrived at what it is now, I thought maybe you could use two cubes: one to hold down the button, and one to block a laser. But then I learned that it's not really needed, so I left it in anyway.

Quote from Djinndrache on May 25, 2011, 10:58 amI started playing custom maps and record me playing them. It's neither a perfect run nor do I have to have solved the map in the way it's meant to solve it. I play the maps "blind", that means I've never been in them before and play them for the very first time. I also give a little feedback for the map in the video description.
Maybe you are interested in the fact, that I played your map: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h8Whv50I_Fs

Wow, blind recording is pretty interesting. It allows me to look at my own map in someone else's prespective. (Usually I just get my brother to play the map and struggle with it while I try give him "hints").
Also, I like how your way of completing it was much different from mine. I did it in a weirder way, heh. I liked how you stared at the unused cube dropper at the end too haha. After making many changes to the map before I completed it, I realized some players might not need the second cube, but I thought it still looked pretty nice aesthetically, so I kept it.
