[SP] Just Another Enrichment Sphere
Quote from vanSulli on June 25, 2011, 8:35 pmThere's a thousand tests performed every day here in our Enrichment Spheres. This is one of them. Features Blue/Orange gels, and your standard flinging/cube/button type mechanics, etc. Enjoy.
This was going to be my entry for the most recent contest but I didn't finish in time.

Quote from gurcrist on June 25, 2011, 9:09 pmCan just be me, but I couldn't get the grips of this map. What is the blue gel for?
I managed to get into the room where the exit is, but there was a glass wall there.. and no real indication on how to remove it.
I guess I'm a linear kinda guy and I don't like the maps if they have too many options on where to go. I was all over the place on this one and really couldn't find a logic to it.
But then again.. It can just be me.

Quote from ElderShyn on June 26, 2011, 1:45 amwell i just downloaded (btw im new just got the account to ask a question about it) and i just got through playing it
are you suppose to be able to walk across the top part of the map to reach the finish? cause thats exactly what i did. upon entering the room go straight to the left corner and look up. you put a portable wall there. from which (after running around for 5 minutes) i tried to jump onto the top of the stage. which im suprised worked. and i rather just waltsed myself over to the end and slipped through a slight gap between the elevator and the exit door
EDIT**
i just clocked myself on how quickly you can make it through the map with this slight error. it would have been 30 seconds. but because your placement of the gate covering the finish is ever so slightly off. i eventually turned sideways and made it in 35 seconds. if my screen recorder was working i would gladly show you what im talking bout.
other than this i would say this is a fairly difficult map. maybe medium range. if the way i mentioned is in fact correct then easy. if not then you have me stumped by all means =P
well i just downloaded (btw im new just got the account to ask a question about it) and i just got through playing it
EDIT**
Quote from ArthurDent on June 26, 2011, 3:55 amI was also kind of confused by the portal surface above the room, I didn't need to use that or the tall one with the orange marks.
For anyone that's wondering, the goal seemed to be to
get the a blue goo-covered cube into the exit room to break the glass.
Overall, the whole thing just seemed to really lack any direction, and most of the 'puzzle' was more tedious than anything (
ie. holding down two buttons with two cubes when it isn't actually more difficult than using one had there only been on button, placing the portal surface on the slanted platform while flying through the air at an angle where you could barely see it was a bitch and a half, and the portal surface on the ceiling that's uncovered when you get near it is only really found by screwing around because you don't know what else to do
).
I think the main goal is rather original for the maps on this site, but the path to getting to that point could certainly be polished. Thanks for the map!

Quote from xdiesp on June 26, 2011, 9:40 amUnspectacular Old Aperture medium map, boring both visually and gameplay wise. Too many repeated props, too much walking around figuring the loose and easily brekable puzzles. All looking the same: stay on a button to fuel the gel dispenser. Too many imperfections such as the unconnected rails all over the place, make it look rushed.
The game-breaking shortcut mentioned by ElderShyn is this:

Quote from quatrus on June 26, 2011, 7:52 pm
Got the blue gel covered cube bouncing around in the glass room but no breakage.
Not sure what else to do - maybe need all 3 cubes in there? Lost interest - sorry. Thanks for mapping though.
Quote from wismeril on June 30, 2011, 11:58 amDid'nt understand ANYTHING. What is this map ? You know the best, I finished it without doing anything : I walked on the ceiling and droped just at the exit, wondering myself "is it a joke ??????". And no, it was the end. So please tell me what I was supposed to do.
In any case, I didn't like this map.

Quote from Nahor on July 3, 2011, 5:06 pmPretty much the same here: I don't know what I'm supposed to do. Walked there, pushed some buttons here. Was-I-suppose-to-do-that-now? Where-do-I-go-next? Very confusing.
And while trying to figure out the solution, I stumbled on the glitch that ElderShyn mentioned. I stopped there.I'm not going to rate it now in case you improve it but so far, I would give it a 3/5 if not a 2/5.

Quote from KennKong on February 3, 2012, 5:32 pmA badly broken puzzle in a poorly constructed room. I didn't even bother to try if two cubes bouncing in the exit might break the glass. Like others, once I walked to the exit, I had no desire to figure out what the intended solution might be. 2/5 from me, remove from playlist.
