Quote from jamesf141 on August 14, 2011, 8:17 amWell, I found this map to be playable, at the least. However, there were some issues that need fixing:
1) The slopes are great, but the textures on them are stretched. To keep in the portal 2 style it would have been better to use a panel-made ramp.
2) The bit with the five buttons - WHAT DO THEY DO? I couldn't tell if they did anything or not, or what the purpose of them was - signs on the floor would help.
3) The final door, entering into your corridor at the end - from the front it looks fine, but there's clearly something wrong with nodraw textures on the other side. Take a look:
2011-08-14_00002.jpgWhilst easy and unchallenging, this map was not half bad. It does need some work to improve it, however.

Quote from xdiesp on August 15, 2011, 12:32 pmFlavourless short map, banal and devoid of any challenge. Appearances could use more work, what with the single-textured walls and geometric slopes (but the frequent observation rooms are a plus). And those unmarked pole buttons were a mistery - if everything else fails, add timers to the puzzles.
Check the leaks on the other side of the penultimate door.

I wasn't fully sure the objective.... And I didn't get the point of the
4 buttons to activate the 5th button
...
One minor glitch I found, was that
If I stood on the Super Button (floor button) and opened the door, I could walk right through without the need of the cube. ...And I think because of that, I was able to walk back through the closed doors...
weird.
Also, I'm not sure if the objective of the
laser to destroy the turrets, was it so you had to portal the laser to the so closer to the glass, because I didn't need to... I just redirected with the cube...
I dunno. Minor thing. But interesting with the slanted floors. And keep on building maps.
Okay level.

I agree the fails you found
The floor texture is what they have put in the instances and that was why i used it. But only between doors

So the run is not perfect and may not use only intended ways, but maybe it can let you see how other people may understand the map or you could just enjoy someone playing this map for entertainment.
Anyways, here is the recording:Bis4hGHbYe4

Quote from KennKong on February 26, 2012, 2:06 pmYou can see beecake's slow progression, as each map has fewer and fewer mistakes. I think the progress would be sped up if he went back and fixed all the problems in the prior maps for practice, and then found some playtesters (I'm willing, since I am trying to play every map anyway.) 3/5, just barely.
