[SP] Heavy Metal

The map is called "Heavy Metal" because I used only a few white faces for the design. I worked a lot with instances and animations to make it look modern, but still old and rusty.

To start the map ingame type in console:
map heavy_metal

- Fixed arrival elevator not starting sometimes

- Fixed showing a black metal wall when placing a portal on the rotating panels

- Added lightboard with icons and sounds

When placing a portal at the end of the funnel, one sees a black wall instead of through the portal.

Once, the initial elevator didn't start.

I didn't need the light bridge,

Hmmm I thought it was a nice big room map, everything worked fine for me. I used the light bridge getting the cube but nowhere else. Thanks for creating enjoyed it.

Yes. I didn't use the bridge, only the funnel. I suggest you remove the bridge. And I had the same problem of seeing the black circle where the funnel portal was. But it's a good map. I liked it. By the way, since it's in .vpk form, you might as well make your testchamber sign customized. If you don't know how, look here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXisv9z- ... ideo_title

Same here i completed then noticed a vertical lightbridge. Stillnot sure what use it has in the puzzle i coulddnt see a way to use it.

Thanks for all the downloads! I uploaded version 1.1 and added signages.
Also thanks for the bug-reports, I will do my best to fix these problems and also take a look at that thing with the custom-sign.

And yes, the lightbridge was there to catch the cube. But I guess near every chamber has a second way to get soluted.

UPDATE: Uploading version 1.2 now.
Added a custom-lightboard and fixed all reported bugs:

I'm playing custom maps and record my first time of playing them. So the run is not perfect and may not use only intended ways, but maybe it can let you see how other people may understand the map or you could just enjoy someone playing this map for entertainment.

Hey, that's pretty cool :)
But that wasn't version 1.2, or was it? 'Cuz I'm pretty sure I fixed that bug with the black wall in the portal (you can see it at 1:52)

Stop the presses, a Broken style map done good - or rather, excellent. Rarely this one looks like different shades of black, like the chamber has gone through rust and fire. Damn effective. Puzzles may be short work, but tight (what lightbridge?).

Great looking map! Puzzle is a bit short and easy but it's a nice one!
