[SP] Gravity Laboratories PART 1: Introduction to Dynamic Gr
Quote from Arachnaphob on November 7, 2013, 10:36 pmI made this map before I got an account here, so I figured I would upload this.
PART 2 IS ON ITS WAY
Difficulty: Easy-Medium
-GRAVITY LABORATORIES-
This map will make you rethink everything you knew about portals. (That sounds like the beginning of a clique movie trailer, doesn't it?) Three tests, one introductory and two with a challenge, use gravity changes as a puzzle element. By using buttons, you can alternate between normal and low gravity.

Quote from User on November 8, 2013, 8:19 amI saw many maps with Gravity Puzzles, but this map is a really good implementation of the low gravity.
Also the "Blue light/fog whatever" change looks really good, 5/5Thanks for creating, keep up that kind of puzzle!

I can't wait for more!

Quote from Dafflewoctor on November 11, 2013, 6:31 pmGreat map, liked the visuals and puzzles. There were several vertex textures though and I thought some of the plastic walls looked out of place. I really liked the outer destruction though, I was really impressed with how much detail there was.
One larger problem is, whatever console command you used to give a purple hue, was carried on to the next map I played so I had to restart the game. You should fire a turn off to that command a second before the voting screen or something, that should fix the problem.
4/5

Quote from quatrus on November 11, 2013, 7:42 pmA new twist to low gravity puzzles in the last chamber, nicely done. Atmosphere was great and the blue light was a nice effect. Thanks for the tutorial chamber to start, simple but welcome. Lots of potential for more maps using this effect...Thanks for creating.

By the way, I use an env_ambient_light (I think it's called that) to make the blueness.
