Gel Bridge

So, how are you holding up. BECAUSE I'M A POTATO.

Why didn't you post a description and maybe one or two screenshots here - I think this will keep some players from downloading this.

Is it really necessary to copy all those files into the map folder? I'm just asking because almost all of the maps here work with only the bsp-file.

The map itself:

I solved this by getting the cube, then spraying blue gel everywhere and jump up to the button to place the cube - which was a bit tough because the gel jump didn't lead high enough to get on the button platform itself. Is this the intended solution? If so, then I didn't really like it. It is not really a puzzle but a challenge to find those areas there at the dark tiles by just giving a try and jump up. This way, there was none of those pleasuring moments when you found the solution for a tough puzzle for me. I hope you can understand what I mean, English isn't my first language. I gave it 3/5.

Small, easy strange little room. If you get blue gel on the cube it does nothing.
Also, Only the bsp file is required to play. No need to copy all the rest.

@zivi7

Spoiler
If you put blue gel on the ceiling and bounce between the floor and ceiling it will allow you to reach the platform with the button

"I am not a Marshmallow"

AAH, of course, thanks!

Or just use the

light bridge thats where the cube is.It gets you high enough
That wall should be raised. No need for it to be so low

Very short.

I assume this is your first map ever...

Next time post some screenshots and a small description to entice people to play... elipses don't really cut it for most of us.

Also, try as best as possible to not have "useless" test elements. What's the point of the water? Also the lightbridge isn't really necessary either, could have done just as well with a "grate" texture for that small room. It doesn't really make sense why there would be a lightbridge in there.

It also feels like you were going to continue but gave up and released your first room. The start point is really jarring (you shouldn't really start inside a puzzle unless there's a clear reason, like you're trapped in there or something) and then there's a whole hallway that just leads to map end...

These sort of releases should be marked [WIP] in the future. [SP] or [Coop] are reserved for final releases. You have no detailing or lighting done, short of one decal lol...

Still, nice first attempt, now get to work on a full map! :D

This should have been put in WIP until it was finished. As it stands, it barely qualifies as a demo of the mechanic. 2/5 from me.

@Kaleido Yep, first map ever. Ever.
I definitely prefer P1 mapping, and my PC was so slow then, it took 25 secs to make a brush :O
Really didn't expect so many comments :|
Thanks anyway. :D
Oh, and also, the water is for if the cube gets gelled.

So, how are you holding up. BECAUSE I'M A POTATO.

BTW everyone, this was only intended to be used so a friend could get the map and tinker with it.
That's why it's so terrible.
