Quote from Brits on June 2, 2011, 8:12 amFirst Transcendental Building Course - Test Chamber 01
This is my first map and my Summer Mapping Initiative entry.
A single player test chamber containing almost every new puzzle element, placed in destroyed/repaired environment.Note: this map isn't finished yet, though the puzzle works!
There is some fixes and detailing to do.Good luck and have fun! Feedbacks are welcome!

Quote from Kibate on June 2, 2011, 11:53 ami would have used smaller white-gel bubbles, the big ones let you able to solve the puzzle in various ways, for example i didn't used the second funnel(well, not exactly the way it was suppose to be i guess) and i never used the orange gel.
Once i got to the top floor i shoot a light-bridge so i can get to the other side, i activated the funnel which transportet the white gel to that wall, some of the white gel splattered on the wall on the side. I then shot a portal there(and nuder the white gel) so some white gel got shot to the beginning. Then i merely shot a portal from there and the wall near the orange gel and the rest is obvious.
The puzzle itself was great though, though the beginning with the blue gel was annoying haha, getting the cube into the funnel i mean

Quote from Djinndrache on June 5, 2011, 11:07 amI started playing custom maps and record me playing them. It's neither a perfect run nor do I have to have solved the map in the way it's meant to solve it. I play the maps "blind", that means I've never been in them before and play them for the very first time. I also give a little feedback for the map in the video description.
Maybe you are interested in the fact, that I played your map: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0R4egGyh5FQ

Quote from CrazyGuy on August 27, 2011, 2:03 pmcompleted it, but couldnt figure out what the blue gel was for. At first it mislead me into thinking I needed it to bounce the cube up to the funnel but that never worked, in the end I just tossed it up there and never used the blue gel once.

Quote from KennKong on November 23, 2011, 1:28 amI got through this one on my own, but it was a little tough to execute. Lots of autosaves needed, for sure. I play with a controller, which makes some of the things I wanted to try nearly impossible.
intended?
1. I put the cube in the funnel with the blue gel. I tried tossing it, but I can't get much height with a controller.
2.I never used the higher angled portal surface. If the intended solution was to fling out of that, and fire portals to catch oneself on the lightbridge, that ain't happenin'. I climbed up the lightbridge from the lower angled plate, then jumped sideways and caught myself on the bridge.
3. I got the cube out of the funnel by flinging myself up from the moving panel. This certainly seemed easier than fizzling it and trying to get back to the top.
I enjoyed solving the puzzle, even if steps 1 and 2 above were a bit iffy. The map was nicely detailed, although some of the features looked like they were thrown in just to prevent exploits. The room was large, yet somehow the puzzle elements seemed crowded together. Overall, a well-done map: 4/5 from me.
