[SP] Conspiracy
Quote from Idolon on November 4, 2012, 11:49 amConspiracy is a map set in an outdoors envinornment. It contains 3 puzzles for you to solve. Let me know if you get yourself stuck anywhere, the map isn't fully playtested. 2nd place winner in the 1st Official mAI Mapping Contest.
There's some missing/rushed content in the map as it stands, due to laziness and deadlines. I'll be updating the map to include more detailed environments and soundscapes. Anyways, enjoy!

Thanks for creating, maybe still needs a little more work and playtesting.

Quote from PCdoc on November 12, 2012, 6:59 pmI really enjoyed this map.
Loved the environment - unusual and a great setting. The beginning part was actually a good challenge and the only way I found to get up to the top where the cube was . . . was not really all that obvious because
I did not think I could ride the lower funnel and loop up to the higher funnel. But it worked and then I saw just a tiny sliver of portable surface on the other side of the fizzler to shoot at
.
In the later sections - I did manage to get the 5 switches set properly after a lot of trial and error. However I could not follow the diagram you provided on the wall. You cannot tell of the switches are the bottom row and the lights the top row - or vice-versa. It was very confusing and even after I got the sequence of the switches correct, I still saw no matchup between that odd map on the wall and the switches.
The finaly room was a bit too easy - you might want to add some complexity to that room since it is the final room (if you do add to this later as indicated).
Very good map which needs a few changes IMO.
4 of 5 stars !!

Quote from sicklebrick on December 11, 2012, 6:50 pmI'm with PCdoc on this one. Really fun map, interesting stuff, and I thought the setting was a great idea, but it was a bit of an arse trying to find portalable surfaces sometimes. I got the first cube to the end of the map without meaning to first time around, but it didn't really ruin the puzzles
Cheers!

Quote from RubyCarbuncIe on December 14, 2012, 2:48 amInteresting concept, I like the outdoor test chamber idea, it's a nice change from what we usually see. The first puzzle was really interestingly designed. It wasn't to tricky to figure out, but at the same time it made you think about what needed to be done in order to advance.
The second puzzle was, challenging. That diagram on the wall was confusing, like what PCdoc said, I found the answer through trial and error. Great concept though, just maybe make it a tad bit clearer to understand, that or my dyslexia is kicking in somehow and making me read the diagram wrong.
Idk, it was a great concept.
The third chamber was a great transition from the outdoor feel to a more compact casual test chamber feel. The entrance to it was great as well, it reminded me a lot of a part in Half-Life 2. Difficulty was rather low in that last room, but even still it was a pretty decent brain teaser.
4/5 from me, keep up the good work!
