Quote from NuclearDuckie on July 17, 2011, 12:41 amAAH! You seriously scared me with the
turret in the observation room. I thought for a moment that there was a person walking around in there.
The puzzle itself wasn't much of a big deal, with most of the challenge for me being in lining up my portal accurately for the faith plate. The target wasn't much help because its centre was a little bit off from where the portal needed to be.
I liked the focus on performing the same action both at the start and end of the puzzle, though, but I didn't really figure out what I was meant to do until I found the gel room. Perhaps a little more direction at the start would have been good.Overall I did enjoy it, but I think I would have liked more of a mental challenge.

Quote from xdiesp on July 17, 2011, 12:45 amShort map of discrete difficulty, building and puzzles look classic on paper but left me unconvinced. First, while flat looks are found often in Clean, here the colouring adds to the effect by covering volume under the same tone - check the thumbnail, it's hard to say that's a corner or a white stripe.
Then, there's a bump in the flow when you have to find the way to the first fizzler area: that jump is such a close call, one might be left in doubt that's actually possible andor an exploit. Notes: those floor buttons actually work like cubeplates; gel sucked in the funnel doesn't splat when it reaches the emitter, just floats there.

Quote from Enigmaphase on July 17, 2011, 3:40 amFirstly, I gotta say your avatar is pretty nifty and a bit hypnotic as well - I think I stared at it for 30 seconds straight but it could just as easily been 5 minutes.

Be that as it may, Tyronis is correct in saying that there is a glaring shortcut in the map currently. I whipped up a quick video to demonstrate:

Quote from ForbiddenDonut on July 17, 2011, 7:16 amVisually an interesting map with the clean style. I admire the overall layout and appreciate the thought process. However, due to the irreversibility of the map (A leads to B leads to C), the map was mostly a frustrating experience that punished the player for stupid things, for example,
if you place the funnel too high when obtaining the paint, the box deactivating the fizzler can be moved and force the player to reset the entire map.
. A lack of info_portal_helpers (seriously, I will never understand why so little mappers use these) and an abundance of exploits (videos of shortcuts and other oddities have already been posted) really deterred the enjoyability of the map for me.
Also, as a side note, the reverser button was acting weird for me: it refused to take a box or myself most of the map.

Quote from 2CAE7256 on July 17, 2011, 7:34 amYou can place both cubes simultaneously on the buttons:

If you remove one of them the excursion funnel goes offline while one button is still active.
http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/59469 ... 7E80E8771/It looks like there is a square grid on water surface.
http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/59469 ... 12667F128/Also you can hear "cubes going through tubes" sound if you stand here:

So the run is not perfect and may not use only intended ways, but maybe it can let you see how other people may understand the map or you could just enjoy someone playing this map for entertainment.
Anyways, here is the recording:GAj1ip3HGG8
