[SP] Challenge Room 1
Quote from BlooMeth on February 28, 2012, 11:38 amThis is a simple map with two test chambers. There's nothing original, interesting or especially challenging about this map. I'm not even sure why I'm releasing it, you probably have better things to spend your time on.
Anyway, to install place .bsp file in <Steam Install Directory>/steamapps/common/portal2/portal2/maps/
To run the map enter "map sp_challenge_room_1" into the console.
File Name: Challenge Room 1.7z
File Size: 2.72 MiB

Did you write that down because you imagined that somehow it could make your map more interesting/worth playing instead? because at least for me it worked! (???) Let me check it out and give you some feedback.
Cheer up, you!

I hope you enjoy it, it's my first proper map so don't expect anything mind blowing.

Quote from Lpfreaky90 on February 28, 2012, 4:37 pmI liked the special style your map has though there are some issues, like seeing trigger textures leaking near the observation rooms in the second room and some misaligned textures.
The puzzles weren't too exciting:
Puzzle one was a nice little fling, puzzle two seemed to be a rip-off of one of the puzzles in angrybombs. It's a good first map but I'd love to see some slightly more interesting puzzles in the future
For now a 3/5: Good, but needs work.

Thanks for the feedback.

Quote from OnePortalizedGal on February 28, 2012, 10:14 pmI thought the first puzzle was very simple for all the room you gave that chamber. Second was fun to do - yes I've played that type of puzzle several times from mappers, but it's always good. I didn't like the look of the map too much - a little dull, but at least I didn't die anywhere - so that's a good thing for a change. Thanks for making!

Thanks for the feedback.

Quote from Hardnuts on February 29, 2012, 4:08 pmI'm something of a sucker for these light bridge maze puzzles, and so I really enjoyed guiding that cube to the exit. The two halves of the map seem to bear no relation to each other, though.
I agree with the comments about the whole thing being just too big. It leads you to expect more, especially in the first room, which is just a simple puzzle.
Keep them up, though. I enjoyed playing.

Quote from sicklebrick on March 1, 2012, 9:13 amHeh, it was a little simple, yeah.. but I enjoyed the wide open spaces, and the general style of the map. I figured the first half was a ruse for the giant second area with insane puzzles, but even so, the aesthetics and beep boop boop music made me grin
Would love to see more!

Quote from Kokomadena on March 2, 2012, 7:15 amThat was an easy but good map.
The first jump over the wall was not so obvious at first sight, and the cube trip needs a few skills.
