[SP] Bits or Pieces

A short map set in a Wheatley-ish style. It is a dormant test that the player has been shoved into just to make time. As such, things are a bit off and the lighting is fairly dim.

You'll come across turrets, light bridges, excursion funnels, gels, and a diversity vent. The puzzles are straightforward and, if the player tries to, they can commit suicide in one spot in a couple ways.

I hope you enjoy it.

Here comes that feeling that I forgot something...

Two short chambers without much to do, made more precious by flashes of Wheatley style vistas. Deadly easy.

At least that's how microlevels should look like. Props for the rotating room, but that's it.

the hills are alive... with the sound of music

Ya, I made the mistake of spending 4 days on the map and got slammed with a lot of errors in the logic, lighting, and some of the physics. It was supposed to have several more chambers, but I spent too much time fixing things. A learning experience nonetheless.

As for being incredibly easy, I guess that fits in the Wheatley theme as well.

Thanks for the comments.

I'm playing custom maps and record my first time of playing them. So the run is not perfect and may not use only intended ways, but maybe it can let you see how other people may understand the map or you could just enjoy someone playing this map for entertainment.
Anyways, here is the recording:

Haha, Nice!

I never realized how little direction I gave the player. I was in the "well, I know the solution and where to look" attitude during development. That, and "I really need to get this done soon."

The conversion gel is a loaded gun. I intended that section to be a run and jump puzzle. Perhaps I should corral the sphere within the window's view so the player can see what the objective is.

I didn't think that the player would jump behind the turrets, yet it's really obvious.

Here's my solution to the map if you're interested: 2-qzNyKFRqM

Whenever you have an unlimited supply of conversion gel, you're asking for exploitation. I liked the "Wheel of Fortune" idea, but everything else was very pedestrian. For thinking around the box, I give it 3/5, and removed from playlist.
