Are we supposed to be able to [spoiler]Walk into the world portal at the start and portal to the top area... then portal to the top ramp.. avoiding the turrets and first ramp? Since y'know.. the area below the portal dropper may have more than one function... heh[/spoiler]

[spoiler]avoiding the turrets this way is not something i thought about, but i think it fits perfectly with the "you can shortcut the whole map by using the pipes" theme. So it's not a bug, just an unplanned feature *g*[/spoiler]
