[SOLVED]Strange Colored GLaDOS Room Floor

Hi guys, another post about SFM. (Hopefully one day I'll find time to learn mapping so I won't have to ask here. :P)

I'm working on a cinematic short about when GLaDOS takes over, but for some reason the Portal 1 boss room is showing this really strange texture on the floor and I can't figure out why.

Here's what I'm talking about: http://i.imgur.com/wMEoN.jpg

And here's a picture from the movie for your enjoyment: http://i.imgur.com/FkW3m.png

Does anyone know how to fix this? It's pretty hard to work around. >.<

Thanks,
-Joey Z.

Could have multiple reasons.
I guess this is a recompiled version of the original (or "modern" Glados wouldnt be in it working, or?). Maybe some textures changed or there is something missing in this texture if it was ported from Portal 1 to Portal 2.

It would help to know where you got that map from, original or changed original.

The map is original, taken straight from the game and imported into SFM. SFM has been known to have problems with some non-TF2 maps, but it would be the default purple and black checkerboard, not this.

SFM is based in TF2 and the original Source content. As far as I know, it doesn't has any Portal 1 or 2 content by default. Did you extract it? I guess if you used Portal 2 textures, they are overwriting one of the floor textures Portal 1 used in that map, and Portal 2's looks obviously different.

Extracted the VPK and imported it into the SFM, yes. I have both the Portal 1 and Portal 2 content extracted in their respective folders, so I doubt that's the issue. And other maps seem to work fine. Is there a way that I can check what the VMT file of that floor is?

Open it in Hammer?

Falsi sumus crusto!

As I thought:
materials/tile/observation_tilefloor003a
Thats the texture (found out by pointing at it in game with mat_crosshair).

In Portal 2 this texture was replaced with anotherone.
Just extract that one from Portal 1 again and everything will be fine.

The file was there for both Portal 1 and Portal 2, but for whatever reason it was using the Portal 2 version instead. I temporarily renamed the Portal 2 version and it's working fine now.

Thanks! :)
