[SOLVED] Hammer Editor Properties Tab doesnt work for Groups
Quote from PortalCombat on May 20, 2011, 6:31 pmHey there.
I have a really strange problem with hammer and grouping.
I created some prefabs, which are grouped when I import them.
Now I use the 'ig' (ignore groups) button to edit single entitys. But Hammer Does only display the 'VisGroup' Tab and not the Entity related Tabs.
You can try out what I mean with just a few steps:
1.) create a brush
2.) create 2 entities 'trigger_multiple'
3.) group all 3 created things
4.) now try to edit the properties of the triggers
=> does not work for me even with 'ig' on/offDoes anyone know how to fix this? This is really annoying.

Quote from Mevious on May 20, 2011, 6:54 pmOn the right side of Hammer you can choose between groups, objects, or solids. By default "ignore groups" selects "solids". Solids allows you to edit single brushes in a solid entity, and this is not what you want. What you want is "objects" which will allow you to select entities as a whole and edit them.

So just to make it clear to anyone:
1.) select the 'Auto'-Tab on the 'VisGroups' Menu (right side of hammer)
2.) select the entity you want to edit (for example: 'triggers')
3.) click the 'mark' button
4.) now you can edit the entity as usualwow... Iam so happy now and can go on with mapping without deleting the groups.
