I remember mentioning Guild Wars 2 once before; can't say it'll be released next year for sure, because the company working on it is making a point of taking their time on something for once. Still, my money is on it coming out before HL2: Episode 3.
Hey, I wonder if that "Black Mesa" mod will ever be finished. Who wants to bet it'll be released before/after Ep3?

Now with more of the same with a little new!
I disapprove of developers releasing sequels or prequels because they know just the title will get instant buys before the game is actually rated by the media or players a like. If you got clever ideas or expansions for a already existing game you made, and it has been a while (Like the time between Portal and Portal 2, the original release of Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2, etc), make a sequel. If it has been less then a year or a little more, make addons for the game instead of risking everything on a new title or in this case the same title with a number. Just my opinion. (and no that is not why I canceled BP2, if your going to link my statement to that.)
By the way, you forgot the Valve titles, Dota 2 and CS:GO, how dare you! 
The more you give, the less appreciated it will be received.
I guarantee Modern Warfare 4 will be announced soon.
