and I think the map might be a bit too difficult so you'l prolly need this walkthrough:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qKISta1uh5g
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a1hcoNjYWtM

i liked the movie (both of them really) but don't know how that would translate to portal. We shall see i guess. also, you need to put more info than just a download link. screen shots and such.
DO IT!
i'll try d/l'ing/playing this tomarow :P

do NOT click this

Well I dont want to get anyones hopes up.. the map is large and kind of hard, and maybe a bit frustrating at the beginning but the movie was no walk in the park either..

i honestly cant figure out what to do...

every time i get into a room, the doors lock and something in the room kills me...

is there a certain path you have to take?

i dont wanna use the walkthru just yet...

edit: nevermind, watching the walkthru

not really..

Spoiler
u have to get the beloved cube so u can exit the maze..
here ist the first floor layout and also how you could pass the hard rooms: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UkQIB9jOO4

also you can test a room without dieing .. it's quite easy unlike in the movie.. just create a portal in a safe room.. go into a new room and trigger the trap.. then return to the safe room and watch what happens..
there are 9 rooms x 3 floors = 27 in total. It's not that complicated.. I think.. problem is I cant pretend not to know the way so I could test it :)

Spoiler
anyhow.. only the first floor is deadly.. I stopped putting traps cause I didnt want ppl to get too iritated.. altough in the movie any room could be a trap.. the numbers indicated which rooms where safe

Not really aperture style is it? (from your screenshots
Using floor textures for the walls and such...
(this is just something I'm always hitting about, graphics T_T)

I haven't played it yet, but the puzzles look challanging.

Be advised that any noticable taste of blood isn't part of any test protocol. But is an unintended side effect of the Hand-Held-High-Energy-Pellet.

There are currently three movies on The cube.

Btw, i'm downloading that, comments will come later.
EDIT:

ok, i've played that.

I don't really like that map, some solution are looking too much bug abusing.
BTW

Spoiler
i've founded the secret shortcut, and i've liked that :P

I usually demorec the blind ride of every map i try, if you want it send me a private message.
(I'll stop recording if i die.)

i dont really know about using floor textures on the walls.. anyways it looks nice and it also looks like you worked on it 4ever so keep it up ...

well the idea of the floor textures on the walls is that this map has nothing to do with portal except the engine..
..it's about the movie "the cube"
and it tries to show (even if in a bad way) that you can do so mutch more than just the glados story with the portal concept..

I give you a lot of credit for designing a infuriatingly difficult and intricate puzzle box. I just finally finished, had to look at the walkthrough video on a couple of rooms, after being just completely stumped (

Spoiler
specifically, the room with jagged walls and no apparent place to put a portal, and the room with the giant fish - I had no idea what that button was doing)
.

It is very different from Portal as a game, not just for visual design reasons, but also just the general atmosphere of an environment that really just wants to kill you, drive you insane and keep you trapped rather than one that guides you from one task to the next. It goes beyond the level of what would be frustrating on many maps to the point where the frustration turns into a deranged anger at the damned cube and a fierce need to beat it somehow.
