Re: Post your Portal 2 Authoring Tool Bugs

I don't know if this happens to anyone else but I will apply a water texture and in game only part of the time it will be the right texture. Then it will do something really weird the reflection will disappear and it will turn red and white or just a wrong water texture. Does anyone know a solution?

Moved two posts over from Authoring Tools bugs thread, hence the duplicate post. --WinstonSmith

Is the brush with the water texture:
--tied to anything? (Func_detail, etc.)
--textured completely with nodraw except for the top face?

Are you using the underwater surface texture? (The top of the water you see while underwater.) There is one for above the water and another being underwater.

There was no need to make a brand new topic for this after posting it in the Authoring Tools bugs thread. In any case, I've responded in that thread as well and will shortly move those two posts here.

it is not tied to anything the texture is only applied to one face and I get these errors alot.

srry if im a bit newbish to posting just came here for help.

First of all, use the edit button instead of double posting. Second, no it shouldn't, if it's just a world brush it should stay that way. Water always glitches like nobody's business if it's a func_detail, func_brush, func_door, etc.
