[PTI] Verticular Addendum
Quote from SkyFerret on March 1, 2013, 6:55 amI was testing new ideas for lift stairs and ended up with this. An addition to one of my collections, "Verticular". It's been a while since I made one. It starts out with stairway combinations and a light bridge. The rest is tractor beams, cubes and buttons. Element re-use is key to this puzzle and it's 8 levels straight up.

I love Portal and want to collect some gameplays (first blind runs; always aren't the fastest and intended solutions, because I take any time to look at the map and its possibilities), speedruns and bug reports.
My records should help you to understand how the player thinks.
Well, I hope I can support you with my uploads to fix any bugs and make new awesome maps. Here are yours!

If you like it and/or it helps: *THUMBS UP*, comment and subscribe
opinion & comments: GREAT!
...the first "level" was like
^^ and I think I found a "bug".
Furthermore:
the second cube at the end should get a task
THX for mapping... Keep it up!
PS: Please play my map und and let me know what you think.

Quote from SkyFerret on March 1, 2013, 10:14 pmThanks guys for uploading your videos. And yes, you both had some unintended solutions. That fizzler field buy the stairs started out that way in that configuration and layout, then I widened it to prevent taking a hop around it, but then after re-arranging portalable panels, I returned it to the same layout. I guess I should have left it wider

. The intended solution is to
push the button to de-activate the fizzler field, as well as activate the tractor beam. Then pull the cube into the tractor beam far enough in (where it starts), then portal switch to use the light bridge to walk over to where the cube is captured. Then, you and the cube are standing on the light bridge after the tractor beam's time expires. Then switch portals to use a light bridge to get to the second button.
BlumCole: The suggestion of the second cube at the end could be implicated I suppose, but it might make for a little to much back and forth movement.
The ending already has a slight bit of that back and forth method to complete the task. It's not a lot, but I tend to stay away from anything that might seem a bit repetitive.
Anyhow, thanks guys for taking the time to upload your videos.
Cheers.
