[PTI] The Network
Quote from SkyFerret on February 7, 2013, 7:08 pm3 fairly large chambers with fizzler fields. Getting the first cube in the first chamber is easy, but with the second cube, there's only one way to get it. The second chamber is somewhat of an elaborate fizzler network, but there's more than one way to get through. However getting beyond that to the last chamber, there's only one way. The last chamber, not very difficult.

Quote from RectorRocks on February 8, 2013, 4:51 amYet another awesome fizzler-network map! All of them were challenging, especially the second chamber. Enjoyed it though.
Here's my blindrun:
Blindrun
QwWzLWWS7ls
-Heh, I almost brought the cubes from Chamber 2 into Chamber 3, but then its impossible
-What does the switch at the top of the third chamber do? I didn't press it because I thought it respawns the cube.
-Was my solution intended?5/5. Excellent. Keep 'em coming!
Cheers!

Quote from SkyFerret on February 8, 2013, 10:02 amAs you can see the second chamber is a bit of a brain teaser. But to get beyond it where
the 2 cubes have to be used to get up and past that intermediate level, I though that would be the most confusing of all. That's where one cube has to go back one button, and then take both through the portals. You discovered that one quicker than the entire solution for the second chamber

I guess that button in the last chamber is redundant.
It's to de-activate one of the fizzlers.
I guess by the end of finishing that map and testing everything, I was getting tired and didn't realize that.

For the most of it, that was the intended solution.
Love those intros. Is that Powerpoint? Does it output to .WMV video format when done?

Yeap. Its done by Powerpoint. I actually made those animations in one slide then record the slide previewing the animations/slide show using Hypercam 2. Because Hypercam 2's sound recording quality sucks, the slide don't have sounds. I may put sound effects in my next intro
Then I go to WMM and drag the Hypercam 2-recorded clip inside it. Place it on the timeline, then add some background music. And its done
Actually I wanted to use Photoshop, but then I don't have it.
Can Photoshop make intros? Like smoke, fire, rotating, etc effects?

Quote from SkyFerret on February 9, 2013, 8:56 amAdobe Photoshop has the ability to do lots of affects, but the output with any animations is usually Macromedia Flash for web based applications which would be .swf format. Chances are that WMM might not be able to read "flash" or "shockwave flash" format. Adobe ImageReady can make GIFF's, but that's too time consuming and also, same thing, WMM probably wont read that format. I'd say you best stick with the simple method of screen capturing the slide presentation with Hypercam.
There's another method that would probably take just as much time as using HyperCam, or maybe even less. When using PowerPoint, and you click on "Save As", take a close look at "Save As Type" options. If there's an option to save as "Windows Media Video" (.wmv), choose that. The only thing you'd have to know is where the destination folder is when saving. This way, when using WMM, you go to that folder and import the .wmv file to WMM. If this works, it will also solve the sound issues (hopefully).
I hope that helps.
And yes, there's too many of these video formats out there that drive me insane. .modd, .moff, .moov, .mkv, .mov, .flc, .mp4, .divx, .avi, .scm, .aaaaarg.

Hahaha!! Well, that did helped. Thanks!
Sadly, theres no "Windows Media Video (.wmv)" option in the Save As Type. So I just have to screen capture the slide with Hypercam.
Just to clarify something, its not that the Powerpoint slides have sound problems. I purposely didn't put any sounds because when I'm recording of slides, it'll play the sounds and because Hypercam's sound recording quality sucks (sounds really "stereo"), I don't put any sounds in the slide. I can easily just put the sounds in WMM itself, so that should work
Make a new map and I'll show you some sound effects (hopefully) in the introI'm also thinking of Adobe After Effects, but..

Quote from SkyFerret on February 9, 2013, 9:26 amAdobe After Effects is probably one of the most powerful motion video editing programs out there. And yes, its plug-ins for particle systems such as fire, rain or snow would be there. As well as being somewhat expensive software, it probably requires powerful graphics cards as well as lots of system memory. Yeah, an elephant wont fit in a bus, you'd have to go buy a truck.

Hmm, then what do you think can I use to make an intro similar to:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKeqTg9b2qI#t=34m20s
Watch only from 34:20 to 34:29
I already made the video play at 34:20, just in case you play the video from your mobile phone, skip it to 34:20, unless you want to watch the 20 episodes of the whole drama [Actually the 20 episodes are divided into 5 'chapters/parts', each chapter have different intros & outros. So thats cool]Yeap, thats a Singaporean Chinese drama
And thats where I learn from the intros and where all the background music from the intros come from
Shh!! Its a secret!! XD
What do you think? Is the intro from the drama nice? What program must I use to make an intro similar to that?

Quote from SkyFerret on February 9, 2013, 10:02 amSeems like a pretty cool intro (that chick is hot). As for software to create such animation, I can't think of any. Most freeware doesn't have that ability. I could be wrong and there might be something out there you can use, but I can't think of any. That music's not bad, but if you want more, try this: http://dig.ccmixter.org/ It's Creative Commons meaning it's free, or copyright free. You can probably search that web site for type of music such as "dramatic". If you're using Internet Exploder, just right click on the song and use Save Target As, and download it as mp3. I'm pretty sure WMM can read mp3's. If you use Firefox, you would right click and use Save Link As.

Sometimes the song before the intro continues throughout the intro, like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6mAHzzWNnrY#t=7m25s (07:25 to 07:32) [NEW CHAPTER INTRO FTW

Note: The chapter title in English translates to "A Pact with the Devil"Sounds interesting. Thanks for the tip! I might use it in the future
