[PTI] Quirky Stair

It's mostly 3 big chambers, with some smaller ones adjacent to them. There are several stairs throughout the puzzle. Some laser field hazards are included but it mostly uses cubes, funnels and buttons throughout the map. This one's pretty tricky. Medium to hard difficulty.

I love Portal and want to collect some gameplays (first blind runs; always aren't the fastest and intended solutions, because I take any time to look at the map and its possibilities), speedruns and bug reports.
My records should help you to understand how the player thinks.

opinion & comments: at the beginning I thought "uhm, this will boring", but from stair to stair :P it became more difficult. :thumbup:

Thanks for sharing your video. At 14:25 on the video, I didn't expect that to happen. The intended solution

is to put the cube on the first button to raise the stairs. Then go up both sets of stairs to where that flip panel is. The next step is to use the tractor beam to guide the cube to the button that reverses polarity of the beam while being up there. Then that's where the player uses the reversed tractor beam to get to the top.
I guess this way I know next time not to put a button too close because a cube can be tossed.

As for the map "time is running", I gave it a try. Finishing it in that amount of time was not going happen. I'm actually kind of awkward and don't really have those ninja skills. Yeah, I stub my toe a lot :lol:. That's probably why only a few of my maps require quick aim and shooting while on the fly.

At the 8:00 mark of the video, That wasn't suppose to happen. So yes, that was unintended. The intended solution was

once you get up the stairs just after that part, is to force the cube into the fizzler field and fizzle it. Then, when a fresh cube drops, use the reverse tractor beam to bring the new one.
As for the last part,

the intended solution was to use the tractor beam to send the cube to the last chamber. Knock it off the button, send it up from the floor, then get it into the main tractor beam feed, then portal it into the very last chamber. It looked like you were going to do it, but then you jumped down, grabbed the cube, then returned.
Note to self: Add more distance next time to prevent that :lol:.

Oh, and the eye ball. There's a portal in the pupil. So when you have a portal in front of you, and one behind you, you see yourself again and again and again and......so on.
