Well done...

Quote from toncica on December 17, 2013, 5:08 pmThat's a shame. Are you sure it was Brave's demo? He did something that I'm not fond of and I changed a detail to prevent that. After that Sora has posted a demo that shows the intended solution.

Quote from Slimpack on January 5, 2014, 3:28 pmI didn't mention this in my steam reply because there isn't enough room to fit all so I'll say it here. I did find a very small alternate solution, when you're about to implement the final solution.
you can put the solid cube in the right place by leaving it in place but just to the right, and then portaling the funnel on the left side of the rear portable surface on the wall to funnel yourself into it (it won't pick up the solid cube if you do it like this), then when you come out on the top of the large room inside the funnel, just portal the funnel on the right side of the portable surface on the left portable surface that you can see from up there to attract the solid cube on the center button, to implement the final solution. You could prevent this by making it so that you can only portal the center of that portable surface on the wall, on the ground level, in that back room (the one with the button that the glass cube has to end up on), that way there'd be no way to funnel yourself through it without also funneling the solid cube, unless the solid cube is placed somewhere where it can't later be funneled onto the button that changes the funnel polarity, which would enforce the intended solution
but it's so minor I'm not even sure if preventing it matters.

Quote from toncica on January 5, 2014, 4:19 pmYour way was already a minor alternative solution. I didn't intend to make the execution hard, bringing the standard cube on the button doesn't require the timing you used. Also, the back wall has a portal magnet, so I believe it would be tough and unnecessary to perform your suggested alternate way.
Your solution is nice to look at and I considered forcing the player to do the extra steps but then I felt it would go too far and I chose to keep it 'simple'. After all, it should only be moderately perplexing.
