[PTI] Mr Waterhandle's Mappack 1

Four maps that serve as an introduction to my workshop, and the kind of maps I usually make. Or just as four maps.

It's hard for me as a creator to judge their difficulty, but overall I'd say medium. I try to have unique solutions, so it also depends on how quickly you grasp new concepts.

Features:
1.Light Glider: 6 test elements map with a unique solution
2. jump jump press button save queen bump head fly into night: two unique momentum puzzles and the saving of the Queen
3. Leap like a Gazelle: tutorial for an unusual technique. Somewhat like an obstacle course, but you can't die. Still has a minor puzzle. Decent reflexes required.
4. Double the Puzzle: double bill with two pretty different puzzles with similiar goals (get a cube from A to B).

Ligh gliders gives one a taste of the type of puzzle to be encountered - very unusual bordering on ninja stuff...jump, jump and double were too hard for me. Thanks for mapping

I'm sorry to hear that... have you checked the hints of jump jump? I could perhaps add some hints to Double the Puzzle. I've been told its tough before, although it mostly just requires thinking. Did you get stuck in the first room, or the second?

I don't know if ninja is the term, since to me it implies insane reflexes, which I don't have, and they don't require that (though they require some). Gazelle is the one that comes closest, although it's supposed to teach and as easy to execute as I could make it. Anyway, thanks for playing!

Thanks, the difficulties and designs were a bit erratic (maybe I'm too used to map packs following a theme) but I like your slightly-ninja, slightly-logic level designs and clearly defined areas - sort of just as compact as it had to be without tiny dark corridors or vast empty gray areas.
I think I enjoyed them because they instilled a decent sense of "this might be tricky, but it's not one of those shit impossible maps"... something like that. Cheers =)

Anyway, was having fun, so I replayed them to break them a little (gently).

(Will be done about 5 mins after posting...)

Thanks! I tried to have a bit of variation in the maps. I suppose Light Glider and Gazelle are the easiest. I think jump jump only has the first puzzle being somewhat hard due to its newness. DTP was intended to be tricky logically.

Cool video, heh. Your solutions for Light Glider were not unintended, apart from getting the cube. And that's the correct way of finishing the first puzzle of jump jump (apart from not pressing the button), for anyone who can't figure out how to get past it. I intended it that once you've learned the technique of Gazelle you can finish it in a few seconds that way. Thanks again for playing and your post!
