[PTI] Fat Mongoose
Quote from Jason on July 16, 2012, 11:35 pmHey all. I tried to be creative and put a bit of effort in the visual style of this map. It was annoying, but it should look unique for a PTI map.
The puzzles themselves, though, are more of the goofy variety, but it should still be entertaining. Hope you have fun!
This is my first map, and any criticism would be appreciated. Thanks!

As for the puzzles - getting the laser cube out of the room was enjoyable for me, though I can see a lot of people disliking it. I managed it first time, though; I imagine it would be really annoying to fail and have to set it up again. As for opening the door: correct me if I'm wrong, but are you supposed to
balance the cube on the button's edge in such a way that it hits the receiver?
Because if so, that's fiddly as fuck and I don't think anyone in their right minds would actually enjoy doing it....

My maps: Double Bill / Jam / Oval Window / Gymnasium / Gymnasium Part 2 / Minimalism (collection) / Resolution
All feedback welcome!

Thanks for the feedback.
As for the the final puzzle, it's definitely a little silly, sorry about that. But it shouldn't be as bad as you're describing.
It does involve putting the cube at the edge of the button, but you're not supposed to aim it at the receiver if that's what you're asking, that would be ridiculous. It should only take 15 seconds at most to put the cube in the right place.
Lifting it off and on the button repeatedly is too fiddly.
I thought this was a nice little puzzle and something different to look at; it was a little disorienting at first, though, with all that glass. It took me a while to see where you could move to and aim through. I thought it suffered a bit from having very few portable surfaces, which made figuring out each step of the puzzle easier than it needed to be. Otherwise, thanks for sharing this with us.
I just put the cube
