What does it do?It angles a panel in the first room. But I never found a use for it. This map, I thought, had some interesting ideas, but there are just so many places where you can get stuck while experimenting with different ideas, that it quickly becomes frustrating. I finally managed to get the cube to open the exit door, but never found a way to get to it, even with all the gels and funnels available. By then, I was so exhausted, I no-clipped my way home ... and promptly gave it a thumb's down.

IMO it's hard for the wrong reasons and it's probably frustrating for more than just some players.
I already mentioned the first problem: The button that angles the surface has no indication at all. This would be fine if what the button does would be visible from where the button is. Why not give it any of the symbols so that the player can at least walk around and see if he/she spots the same symbol elesewhere?
And then the moment at 4:30 in your video. There is no light up there so the corridor is impossible to see unless you funnel up into it. It would be much much better if everything was easy to see and the puzzle would be to figure out how to use the visible things to get to visible areas.
But watching the rest with the fiddly gel placement I know I never would have solved this chamber even if those two things were made differently. I'm sure there are some players here who like such a supertough map though.

There were at least 6 or 7 of these places. And that's kind of a mapmaking no-no.
After watching your walkthrough, I have some comments on unintended solutions: you can bring blue gel over to the gap between the start point and the funnel reverse button to use to jump across the gap after you fizzle the cube and you don't, therefore, need to use the funnel to retrieve the cube. You also don't need to put blue gel on the cube to bounce it into the button that opens the exit door; it is fairly easy to time the panel flip on a normal cube to get it to bounce to the other faithplates. As I said before, I never needed to use the angled panel that the button activates; that whole going back to put the cube on that button is completely unnecessary.
The fact that you had to spend 1/3 (4 minutes) of your walkthrough time with getting the gel into just the right spot to get to the exit should have told you something: this isn't a good idea.
