Not sure I got it absolutely right, but it feels pretty intentional.
Good work

Quote from Mr Waterhandle on December 13, 2012, 2:20 pmI solved it (almost) the same way as Sicklebrick. The design of this is very well done. It feels very clean, but then the solution is so retarded it comes full circle into being brilliant again. That's not a criticism: I like this kind of originality. Makes excellent (re)use of the funnel, neat start too. The only thing I did differently is that I was under the impression that I had to go in myself to get the second cube, so I did a kind of grab, to let go and quickly portal the beam back. I also like how the visual difference of the cubes is very helpful to the solution.

Basicly this map was created for a tutorial on how to make difficult puzzles. Sadly I'm very busy at the moment so I'm not able to finish the tutorial.
Maybe I can spent some time on it in the near future, then you will see that absolutely everything in this map is for a reason.
I remember this has been the hardest part of making a map and explain everything at the same time.
But basicly I wanted to show how to build a puzzle around a very "simple" trick like grabbing a cube through a grate.
Thanks for the feedback

Quote from quatrus on December 16, 2012, 10:50 amWell done excellent puzzle, the last cube move took me a while to sort out - I was looking for something hard... Only criticism is that I wish cubes had colors or numbers on them so I can tell which one came from where....thanks for creating...

Really well thought out, simple but tricky and clever!! Really good job!
I only did differently than Sickle the part of grabbing the regular cube:
I thought due to the separation of the white wall tiles wouldn't let me full remote control (but since there are no placement_helpers that force your portals, it's easy, as Sickle showed), so I funnelled the cube on a high level and I came there myself, replaced the portal in one of the rows of wall white tiles to the opposite direction and quickly grabbed the cube
Can't wait for testing your next one to come mate
5 out of 5, what else?
