Prop fade distance not working
Quote from Jaxe on October 6, 2011, 2:02 pmI can't get prop_dynamic models to fade out. I have start fade at -1 and end fade at 1000 but they're still rendering at 1000+. Seems whatever values I use I can't get them to ever fade out.
What am I doing wrong?

Quote from Will T. on October 6, 2011, 3:48 pmI think setting start fade to -1 is how you tell a prop not to fade at all. Try setting start fade to 1000 and end fade to 1050 or something; it should fade very quickly once you get 1000 Hammer Units away from it with those settings. If that works, set the start fade to where you really want it. If not, something else is wrong.

The animations I was using were moving the props way off their origins so the distances were all wrong.
