That's pretty epic. I was eagerly looking for the name "Freddie Wong" in the credz :]

Not in cruelty
Not in wrath
The REAPER came today
An angle visited this grey path
And took the cube away

Very well done indeed. I half expected to see the Citadel or something when

Spoiler
she exited onto the roof,
but was dissapointed at yet another opportunity to cross over to half life that came and passed.

I really liked the darker tone to this fan movie. Portal is a rather dark story; you're alone, have no idea what year it is, possibly are the only human left, and are in the grasp of a cold, homocidal computer. Portal 2 was a bit happier, but then again, observe the T -> E10 rating change. (No more blood from getting shot, and screen turns black instead of red when you die.) Also, instead of hollow, dark ambience and a cold computer, we can an english robot, humorous posters, and combustable lemons.

Don't get me wrong; I loved Portal 2 just as much as the original. I just liked the feeling the original gave me better. The wierdest thing, however, was the fact that in the end,

Spoiler
Wheatly was trapped in space, and they made it seem humourous. Being forever trapped in space, unable to die, would be a horrible fate. In my POV, that punishment, even for all Wheatly had done, was a little extreme. Not that Chell had any choice but to place a portal on the moon, but still.

Another thing. In portal 2, when

Spoiler
you were in space, Valve missed a HUGE opportunity to tie in with Half Life or something. I was expecting to see a dark side of the Earth with or without city lights, see a destoyed satilite or rocket that was launched in Half Life 1, or the one launched in Half Life 2 Ep. 2. But oh no... all I got was a brief refferance to Black Mesa, and a dock for the Borealis. I guess I'll just wait for Ep. 3...

The one portal fan film where

Spoiler
Chell made a cake
was much too happy for me. If I was in control of that script, this is what I would have had her do. (this is pretty dark, read at your own risk)
Spoiler
She would have tried to make a cake, fail because she only has beans, and then walk through an abandoned town looking for groceries. A newspaper flutteres nearby saying "EARTH SURRENDERS" on it. She finds nobody, and the grocery store is completely looted/partially destroyed. She enteres an appartment, but it too contains nothing. She finally reaches the roof, where she looks over the destroyed world. Some half life referrance would go here, but I don't know what it would be. Anyhow, she reaches into her pocket, and pulls out a picture of her and her parents. It could be Cave Johnson, Gordon Freeman (would explain muteness) or maybe her thumb would cover it up, and the viewer would just see her as a little girl, and not know who her father/mother is. This part would be really emotional; basically, she knows that she is probably the only human left alive, and that the little food she salvaged from aperture will only sustain her for so long, so she takes off her long-fall boots, throws them and her portal gun off the building in anger, pauses, and then walks off the edge herself. Dark, I know, but I personally think that's how it would end if you were a sole survivor in a post-apocalyptic world; not making a cake with magical, non perishing eggs and milk, eating it, and going to sleep happily. I did like the part of that film where she was hearing GLaDOS in her mind, and seeing test chambers and death she narrowly avoided. Psychological scarring is pretty much inevitable in any situation. It's a wonder that Gordon Freeman went from scientist to bludgening crowbar soldier in a split second without cracking up.

What can I say? I like German-styled, dark literature.

Anyhow, this video was very well done.

Also, there needs to be a fan movie made from the Rattman POV. I don't know what it would be about; (a recreation of the comic, though impressive, wouldn't be very creative.)

tl;dr Good movie. Like darker tone. Portal 1 atmosphere > Portal 2 atmosphere. Want Half Life tie in.

This was enjoyable, though kinda dark. At first I'm like: "who would leave a portal gun in a prison cell?" Then I'm like: "oh. It's just a psychological test/simulation."
I also saw the cake one too. I lol'd when she made it with salt instead of sugar the first time.

P.S. A recreation of the Rattman story would be great to see. It might be a little weird for the people producing it though, seeing as the actor would purposely have to act crazy.

?????????????????????????????TWP Releases | My Workshop

Great work.

yah, i saw that on the steam news, it was pretty cool and had some epic sfx

"Walls were made to hinder scientists. walls should be outlawed everywhere" consiel, 20,000 leagues under the sea

I like bionicle, and am on bzpower.com

"Optimists, I'm told, see a glass with 50% water, and %50 air and say it is half full. Pessimists, on the other hand, see it as half empty. Engineers realize the glass is 2 times larger than it needs to be"

Who else thinks that it should get turned a full film? :-P

In the meantime you could actually sign this petition in an attempt to get Valve to fund the project...

Then the signatures could get emailed to the man himself:
