Portal 4 Life 2.0

It's only been 4 years and I'm back!

Portal4life is a short linear map that introduces some gameplay elements from Half-Life 2 integrated with Portal puzzle system.

In v. 2.0 The map is totally reworked.
-now looks better(still awful though)
-map is now frustration-safe! well, almost...
-crap puzzles removed, new puzzles introduced
-boss fight added
-fixes of all sorts

If you like the idea of portal gun in HL2, give it a try.

A few days ago, someone was asking about how hard it was to include Half Life 2 assets in Portal 2 maps. If you feel like sharing, a guide or tutorial on the steps to do that would be pretty cool.

First of all, it's a Portal 1 map. And it's actually impossible to use proper HL2 NPCs without making a mod of your own for all I know.
NPCs don't go through portals without scripting
NPCs cant use firearms
Turrets dont target NPCs through portals
I just used a bunch of lame workaround solutions.
My previous version of the map had a firearm simulation so lame that I facepalm every time I remember it. You can check it out and laugh.

Odd, I managed to get headcrabs in a Portal 1 map I made (wasn't very good, was one of my first tries with hammer) without any trouble.
I also had antlions in it but I ended up removing them because they were too hard to kill with a portal gun :P.

When I die I want to be dissected by some mad genius and used in one of his evil schemes. It's great to be part of something bigger than yourself.

Yeah, but melee damage is pretty much all you can get. Have antlions too, btw.

I have found some problems.

The door closes too quikly, and the button works without cube.

seems to be annoying, I should consider this.

Not going to spoil, but you're just doing it wrong. It's not on timer for nothing.

not a bad map by any extent

well designed for the most part, though with some small issues relating to exploitation otherwise i liked the ideas

all in all good work
