Portal 2 Wake-Up Sequence

Hey there. I'm a bit new to these forums, and I was thinking- when making a mod of Portal 2, how would you implement a wake-up sequence like the one at the beginning of the game? I've tried opening sp_a1_wakeup.bsp and pak01_dir.vpk with GCFscape, but I can't seem to find the actual map for the area to copy the wake-up data from. Where would I find the room where you wake up? Or, if it's not possible to find it, how do I replicate its effects? Any help is appreciated, and I apologize if this is stated somewhere; I looked through the forums a bit and didn't see a topic on this subject.

The map you need is "sp_a1_intro1.bsp". The wakeup one you mentioned is for the part where you wake up GLaDOS, not area at the beginning of the game.

You need to extract the map from pak01_dir.vpk with GCFscape, then decompile it in order to turn it into a vmf that you can open with Hammer. To decompile the bsp, you need a program like BSPSource, which can be downloaded from here.
