Portal 1 Door Instance

Well, for anyone who wants a door like those from portal 1, HERE IT IS!!!
It opens!
It closes!
It can be used to seperate areas without using the normal door and confusing idiots!
NEW!!! Now it even sounds like a door!!

Just chuck it in the map and send it an input, like any instance.
Feel free to open it up and stuff round with it, I don't care.
Oh and before you start whigning YES it is a portal 2 frame, the portal 1 frame doesnt have the correct skin. And quite frankly I couldnt be bothered getting it from the portal 1 files.

Really nice post. Thanks! I'll give it a try this afternoon...I'm also a nostalgic, and on the other hand, there is space for everything, Portal and Portal2 stuff, into one map, right? Of course doing it with a certain logic, care and style!...

Thanks for this! I absolutely love the original Portal door and I hope to be able to use this in my maps from now on. One question though, will others have to download this in order for the doors' skin to show up? I don't remember seeing it with a skin in the past.

EDIT: I think some Lip should be added to the door I believe in Portal the doors had a lip of 12, however I found that a Lip of 5 seems closer to what the Portal 2 doors are at. Just seemed a bit off to have it go entirely into the door's frame.

Thanks guys, and no no one will have to download skins, it uses nothing that wasnt already there. The skins for the doors were there already. And yeah, i defiently think theres a spot in portal 2 maps for a door like this.
EDIT: Also, it now has been updated with door sounds, for added dooriness.

Hi there, I know this thread is old, but I have a relevant question for this post.

I downloaded your door and it works fine, but when I rotate it 90 degrees, the doors try to open outward/inwards instead of sideways. No doubt they are still trying to move left/right, but that happens to be along a different axis when rotated.

I'm not very good at Hammer, but do you know any way around this?
