Personal Mapping Tutor...

So I've decided even with DLC next year that I would like to learn Hammer for myself. As you may know the guide and practice can only get you so far and question will be inevitable. I know that you do not take well to "noobish" questions constantly spamming the forum so...

What I'm proposing (more like requesting) is whether somebody would like to put themselves forward to answer my questions and problem via PM and put up with any idiot moments that may occur. I'm at university so I wont map 24/7 and I wont expect answers with minutes of my message but although I would love them to be reasonably active anyone who knows more than me (which is most) will do if they are willing.

So post here and discuss if anyone actually wants to help me and I promise to never upload a map that's really not finished unless it is truly [WIP]

TL:DR: In summary I want someone to help me with questions via PM about mapping in hammer

Just post your questions in a new thread in the 'Mapping Help' forum. No one should call you a noob (unless its like "wat dose Ctrl mean?") and even if they do just ignore them, someone will answer eventually.

If you still don't want to, I understand and you can send me any questions via PM if you wish. I respond to pms at least once daily.

Thanks, depends on the question really. Right now I have one about emancipation grilles not being resizeable and also now seeming to have an on off toggle thing I can link via my button. Still a bit complicated I started yesterday and played around for like 3 or 4 hours.

Resizable in game or in hammer? In game it might be a bit hard and you might have to sacrifice aethetics for functionality. In hammer it is easy just make a brush 128 high x 2 thick x how ever long you want. Then click the face texture tool, click the faces and click Fit.
