Missing door frame skinstextures
Quote from OmgMTG on January 23, 2012, 6:14 amWhen placing a prop_static for a door frame, the world model view shows it without its skin (pink and black blotches) and consequently no alternate skins are available for said model. It just says 'skin0' where there shouldwould be other options.
The files affected:
propsdoor_01_frame_reference.mdl
propsdoor_01_frame_wide_reference.mdlhowever its related door parts are fine, and include a 'skin1':
propsdoor_01_lftdoor_reference.mdl
propsdoor_01_rtdoor_reference.mdlI am using Portal 2 Authoring Tools Beta.
This issue may have been addressed already, and I am apprehensive about downloading any replacement filestextures and breaking the game or editor.
As far as I know, these are the only files that I have seen that are missing skins. Any help is appreciated! thx much!
*EDIT*
It all looks the same while in game, and I have already done the cache integrity check thing on both Portal 2, and the authoring tools. The check returned a report (on both P2 and the tools) stating 3 files failed and that they will be acquired. Whatever that means.

Quote from Lpfreaky90 on January 23, 2012, 6:44 amThat's because those doors aren't in portal 2 anymore, they were in portal one though.
Their models are still in portal 2 but their skins aren't.
If you want to create a door just use the prop_test_chamber door entity or use a func_instance with an instance from the instances/door folder!Hope that helped

Quote from Spam Nugget on January 23, 2012, 7:28 amBit of shameless self promotion, but if you want an instance of portal 1 doors, check out the link in my signature. It is still the portal 2 dorrframe though.
If you really want the portal 1 frame, you could always extract it from portal 1 and inclued it with your map.

I think in terms of boolean variables. Generally, it makes things easier.
