Making animated destruction
Quote from lanz on June 2, 2011, 4:22 amHow can I make a sequence of a buncha stuff falling and crashing into a pile, or that sort of thing.
Like the crusher breaks some stuff and shakes the ground.
I don't even know where to start...

Quote from Nidonocu on June 2, 2011, 7:09 amIf you look through the avalible models (filter for debrie and destruction), you'll find several items you could trigger their 'falling apart' animations on. Likewise, there is an instance called 'destruction ambience' or something like that, that should give you a starting point for explosions and shaking the camera.

Quote from Marise on August 7, 2011, 9:24 amI know I am resurrecting a thread here, but I have a question about the destruction_ambiance instance. I placed in my map but wound up with a leak (it appeared that because it did not fit within my walls, it leaked) so I deleted it. I am just wondering if it's worth trying to make it work. I don't really know what it will actually do, and can't seem to find any info that says.

So just for testing purposes... place a small & simple room behind or just another wall/brush behind it to check the result... then you can see if it's worth it or not

Quote from Vordwann on August 7, 2011, 2:44 pmThe destruction ambient instance is pretty much a bunch of sounds parented to a tracktrain so that the camera shake and noises moves around the map.
