Looking for Map Feedback
Quote from Kasc on April 19, 2013, 1:49 pmI had a plan to create some kind of map pack revolving around a 2nd Aperture testing facility which I was calling "Phase 2"; essentially it was a step up in puzzle difficulty.
It was long abandoned and I some of the stuff, I atleast, thought was pretty good. It started out as a CO-OP project but I decided to drop it in favor in how much easier it was to design some single player maps.
All I'm looking for is some feedback on some of the first 2 chambers I had made:

All I'm really asking for is some help in deciding whether or not I made it too hard, I have a feeling each room is asking for too much.
Some feedback on style would also be appreciated too; especially if you could record yourself playing it!
Note: I had a lot of trouble with getting room 2 to work
Here are some screenshots of the 'journey' I had planned between the two facilities:

Quote from greykarel on April 19, 2013, 5:24 pmHeh, screenshots is realy good, but unfortunately has nothing to do with the rooms we have to test, so far( if I haven't missed anything). As for the puzzles I'd say they are quite easy and took me less then 10 min to solve. After facing the turrets I had room shaked and nothing else. As for map look: you should have more variety in textures, learn how to make fizzlers (they look wierd) and lighting is not good. So far I'd rate it 3/5.
