Quote from slayer on July 1, 2011, 11:04 pmSo whenever I go to listen to a scene file in the Hammer Sound Browser, nothing plays. A little box shows up with the name of the file, but it won't play the voice. The only way for me to know who is saying what is to create a map with the scene file and then load it up in game and trigger it to play. This is very inconvenient.
Does this happen to anyone else? Is there a way to fix this?

It is annoying though.

Quote from MissStabby on July 4, 2011, 11:41 amI had this same problem in my map with getting rick's voices to work.
Then i discovered "http://www.theportalwiki.com" it has ALL the lines transcribed on their website!
Also you can click to hear the sound, and the sound you see in the url is the same soundfile name as the one they use ingame!Another thing that helped me, with getting stuff like timing and animation right, was to extract the portal2 data files into a seperate folder filled with wav files, there i could use audacity to time the animations correctly to the dialog.
here is their turret page:

Luckily for me I still use the sound files as a reference which I copied to my Alien Swarm folder. I could save about 7 GB of data by deleting it though :S
Here is a direct link to all the voice lines for the actors if you're having trouble finding it: http://theportalwiki.com/wiki/Category:Voice_lines
