lighting/skybox/stuckness problems [FIXED!!!! :)]

This is weird, guys. i just started on a new map, and it compiles just fine. however, when i go into the map, it looks all fullbright, as if there was no light entities in the map whatsoever... until i turn sv_cheats on then off again with my keybind. after i toggle sv_cheats, the room gets really dark and certain materials seem to have the wrong normalmaps applied to them. (like a rocky normalmap on a normal bts metal texture...) kindof the crap you'd expect from a leaky map in portal 1. even worse is that any skybox material goes black in-game, even in some of valve's official maps. finally, i get stuck in-game from time to time randomly, and i can't move around untill i toggle sv_cheats again. what the heck is going on here? if it helps, here's some additional information:

1. my keybind for toggling sv_cheats is q.

2. i installed the pti styles mod. (i forgot who made it...)

3. i also at one time installed aperture: ireland. boy was that mod a piece of crap!!!

EDIT: i fixed it. i apperently had a key bound to a cheat command that was removed from the game, and i was impulsively pressing that key from playing the minecraft portalgun mod too much.

Did you try verifying cache even though I don't have the slightest idea what the connection is? Also, Carl made the style mod.

I tried that. didn't seem to work...yet. i don't know if it's done.

EDIT: i fixed the weird "stuckness" problem! apperently i had "r" bound to some command that was removed from the game, so i got frozen in place whenever i pressed it (impulsively, from playing the EDIT 2: yup, the problems argon. :D
