Light Bridge
Quote from spongylover123 on November 6, 2011, 6:43 pmIs there a way to portal on a light bridge, like putting conversion gel on it and you can portal on it,
And is there a way for a light bridge to come out with gel, it will extend and more gel comes out?

Although it seems could be a neat idea I can imagine it could also be buggy and isn't really consistent with being able to shoot portals through bridges anyway.

Ok, I need to program the first one
For the second one, I mean that the light bridge comes out with gel already on it, no need to paint it.

Again to reiterate: putting portals on a lightbridge is impossible unless you can fake it using an invisible portable texture. Though you would have to limit what areas the lightbridge can be placed to be covered by the gel and/or be activated by a func_portal_detector (Coop mode only for detector as you would need at least 4 portals to have any effect).

Anyway, is there still a way to get gel on my light bridge automatically?

Anyway, is there still a way to get gel on my light bridge automatically? Not unless you are a massively awesome programmer who has access to the game code.
