laser placement helper?
Quote from MXXE on June 3, 2011, 5:37 amI am stuck on two things in my map.
I wanted to have a laser placement helper. I have already used portal placement helpers to make shooting far out portals easier. Now I have lasers that have to be reflected along a long distance and I want to make aiming easier. I know something like that should exist since it is available in the 3rd (or 4th?) coop chamber (course 1).
Second thing is: I have the clean elevator in my map (instance arrival_elevator_a4_base and arrival_elevator_a4_logic) and I automaticly spawn with A potato attached to my Portalgun. I want a clean chamber, but without Potatos. How do I do that?

Anyway, for number 2, someone created an entity that fixed the potato

(dunno how to link sorryz D:)As for number 1, I haven't the slightest idea. Check other posts, as well as valve's developer community for potential hints. I'd say look for placement hints that are similar to the portal placement thing just for lasers.
Good luck

Linked automatically. Yee*EDIT2*
Have you tried decompiling one of Valve's maps to see how they do it?
