I need a new video editor...anyone got one?

hi, everyone. aside from mapping, one of my hobbies is to create videos, but there's a huge problem:
videopad, the software i normally use, has been updated in such a way that the program is no longer usable for me. in the previous version, i could drag the begginning or end of a clip and be able to see exactly where i was cutting it off at in my preview port, but now it doesn't do that... and so i now have to take almost a whole hour just to get the timing of a simple edit right. does anyone know about a free or within a 10$ price range program that has the following features? (i use these a lot.)

* able to view and hear exactly what the video looks and sounds like as im working on it
* ability to import several types of media files
* green screen effect (chroma keying)
* fade in/fade out transitions
* multiple audio tracks
* ability to split clips at certain position
* need to be able to do actual sequencing, not the "my beautiful family photo memory nostalgia" crap that some software forces on you
* text overlays at any part of the video for any duration
* ability to use pictures as well as video

Seconded. Just don't use videos over 10 gigabytes and it will work great.

Falsi sumus crusto!

Sadly fraps records over 10GB so i recommend splitting 4GB!

I use clips over 10gb all the time.

Does Premiere hold up well? For me it always freezes and dies as it attempts to conform the input files.
