Page 1 of 2Next

I have been making a lot of map. But now this problem comes up.

I've searched on it and i read that i can lock or unlock the texture. How do i do that?
The ''Texture lock'' in ''Tools'' doesn't seem to work.
Does anybody have a solution? I can't make my maps without the help.

Tried selecting/deselecting the 'tl' button in the tool bar? It works for me so, idk what's wrong if it doesn't...

Right. You want to to deselect the one called "scale texture lock" or "texture lock scale" or something like that. It should be right next to the normal texture lock button.

Locking the texture scale only is indispensable btw when scaling indicator lights without having to change the start/end values manually.

Edit:
You should by all means explore the benefits of left-click picking and ALT+right-click applying textures from one brush face to another while in texture editor (face edit sheet). Everything lines up perfectly as long as you stay on grid!

I can only find one button with ''texture lock" in it.

Can you tell me where it is? :) Im very thankful for your help

Locking the texture is only a good thing when you are moving brushes that have already been textured and aligned to prevent the texture from shifting.

You should not lock the texture when you are actually trying to align it or make it "fit" to the brush face.

Pick a different texture, or resize the brush if the texture does not fit onto the brush face.

That's a menu bar; you want the tool bar. See the bit that says 'tl' directlymto the right of the shortcut for carving in your screenshot? That's one of the buttons you're looking for, and the other should be next to it.
