Grent and MVG's Let's Play Portal 2 Custom Co-Op!
Quote from grent on July 12, 2011, 10:37 pm(Not really sure what section to put this in, so it's going here; mods, feel free to move it or something.)
So my friend MadvideoGamer(MVG) and I have recently gotten into playing custom Portal 2 co-op maps together, and we were planning on doing a live stream of us playing a few levels. Normally we just stream for the forum we met at, but since we're getting all of our maps from here, we figured you guys might want to watch, too. As of right now, we've lined up a few maps we're going to play (and probably review in the process), but we're always looking for more suggestions! Here's our current lineup:
Catapults and Buttons
Fast Bridge 2
Lost in Transition
Fling Bridge
Versus
Rock of PrometheusWe've already played Rock of Prometheus and Versus, but we enjoyed them so much that we wanted to play them again for everyone else. Also, like I said, we're looking for other suggestions for maps to add to this lineup, since we'll have a big appetite for new puzzles, and I don't think three new maps are going to satisfy us.
We'll be streaming here starting at 10pm EST on Thursday (a little under 48 hours from this post). The channel is new, however, and thus doesn't have any videos yet (maybe a few test videos by the time you read this). To see videos from our solo streams, you can check out my stream and MVG's stream.
You'll all be welcome to chat with us while we stream, but we will ask that you not offer solutions unless we ask for them. Other than that, anything's fair game, and we hope you enjoy!
EDIT: Map order changed, added Catapults and Buttons.

Other than that, I'll just leave this here:

Speaking of being busy working on maps, this map is the second by Pjuvigny this week as well. To steal what Hober said during our playtest, "a map called Catapults and Buttons is a lot like Snakes on a Plane; I know exactly what I'm getting, and it's going to be hard to disappoint me." How true, Hober. Catapults is split into two distinct puzzles, both of which requiring a lot of timing coordination with your partner. Hober and I had a difficult time with the last puzzle because we played it at 4 in the morning after drinking beers. Is this map really that hard, or do we just pick the worst time to play games? Play it with a friend and decide!
