My theory is that GLaDOS is Caroline in robo form and Chelle, and the other test subjects, are clones of Cave Johnson and Caroline. Quite baseless TBH, all I'm going on is that the test subjects you see being grown at the end of course 5 appear to be identical to Chelle and well... Who else would they use as the base model for the clones?

Also, if you look at the hidden portrait there is quite a likeness between Chelle and Caroline.

GLaDOS was partially Caroline, [spoiler]but she got deleted in the last cut scene[/spoiler]. I don't know where everyone gets these ideas from. There is nothing pointing towards Chell being their daughter or that they were even a couple, right? All we know is that Chells parents probably worked at Aperture since her name was on one of the daycare-projects.
