func_physbox parenting, separates on multiplayer pickup

Ok, I have parented a prop_dynamic_override to a func_physbox. In single player, I can pick up the object with no issue, but when I pick up the object in split screen multiplayer, the object is held weird and the parents separate weirdly, and the object is hard to drop. Anyone know why this is happening or what I can do to fix. I have tried different combos like, parenting a brush to the physbox, then the brush to the prop, but it always messes up in multiplayer.
