What is the sprite or texture for the energy ball in portal 1?

Sweet, is there a way to add some afterimages behind the ball? Maybe by editing one of the vmt's?

You would have to edit the vmt and the vtf.

Why would I have to edit the vmf? Also, can I have some info on what I would have to do?

Any afterimage will have to be a particle really. I did it in Retrospective with the Portalgun projectile since you can't do new particles without overwriting shared files.

So how would I go about making a trail sorta thing, kinda triangular like this.
