Displacement vs portal

I wanted to make a floor to be a bit rugged like in (for example) sp_a1_intro2. I used displacements but when I put a portal near them, they lose their solidity in the area shown in this picture: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10487050/dsplcmnt.JPG

Any fix for this? Or should I leave the displacements?

I think this is a known glitch and it's because Valve changed the way physics objects function near portals so you can take one through with you during something like a fling. This causes some solidities to be wierd.
