[Coop] mp_coop_ForbiddenChamber_race

Race between orange and blue, in a underground chamber. my uploads before this are nothing like this. a more fun and easier (but still takes time) map with some great elements as:

-low gravity
-speedmodification

FICED: can see through water when being under.

OOOOOk where to start... First of all, it is hard to determine what to do in your map. The textures in the second room, make the player confused, and took a while to figure out that texture in front of the sphere drops. The first puzzle, my partner couldn't finish because it is pretty buggy, and watching him, seemed like random things and invisble walls were killing him. The third puzzle, was hard to make the connection of the buttons, I would press the button and be confused on what to do. I was also able to get onto the oranges course by jumping over the stairs railing. I didn't actually know it was his side, until he cought up to me. Also, when messing with speed and anti gravity, I have learned that it normally lags the orange player, and this really gives an unfair advantage while racing (he was getting stuck on corners and such), but nothing yyou can do i guess. I also don't like that there wasn't a start system... like a 1, 2, 3, GO! we just spawned and started running, give the player some time to get ready for the race. I did like some of your concepts though, they were pretty fun once you got past the confusion. Ohh, and the orange player can press the blue players first moon button. The looks can be improved as well.

i heard more people complaining about the lag, only the problem is, i don't have a partner to test with... :(
what you said about the teleport of the moon that it teleports both players, i don't think i can fix that, unless there is some kind off filter name for each player.
thanks for the reply and by the way, it is hard to test your own map, believe me.

I didn't say the moon teleports both players... I'm just saying that on the top of the third course, where there is the moon button (i think, might be a circle) and the triangle button for the orange player, are at the end of the catwalks, the orange player can turn around and press the blue players button. Should put an invisable brush there. I know how hard it is to test coop maps, I've never even made a single player map before. Last night, I found out that "in_forceplayer 1"? i think its called, starts with force... well that lets you control the orange player in split screen mode. Not really as big a problem for your racing maps though, but could have saved me many hours if i knew that. I actually joined the Portal 2 co-op map playing group on steam, and I was able to find like 5 people who like to test my maps with me. I just make my map, Invite one of them, and watch them solve the test, and they tell me all of their concerns. Then I make the adjustments, then invite the next one...

I did not like this map at all, I hated it. I didn't even get past the beginning. Try again please. >.<

There's some bad shortcircuit going on, with these race maps: one thing is to race another player, another to do so in a ludicrously frustrating enviroment. I can't see why you see mandatory to pair the two.

What you are doing is to set the 100 Meters in a pool of mud with nails in it: the sense of speed is lost, and you are forced to play with bottom-of-the-barrel puzzles built solely to piss you off. Essentially, unplayable and in bad taste.

Why not having a good, normal map with two parallel courses to complete in speed?

the hills are alive... with the sound of music

I'm playing custom maps and record my first time of playing them. So the run is not perfect and may not use only intended ways, but maybe it can let you see how other people may understand the map or you could just enjoy someone playing this map for entertainment.
Anyways, here is the recording:
