That took quite a while to figure out. Good map!

Enjoyed this map, even though we managed to get stuck a couple of times and had to kill ourselves after a lot of work.

First of all, the puzzle itself is not bad: you have to wrap your head around it for a while. But as one was saying the other day, I'm not sure about death being so hardwired in a level's solution.

It keeps laying bumps on the flow, I mean, faith plates sending you to death by default don't seem the smoothest option to me. We would have given up, if the player baseball had not sparked our interest back.

I tested these maps solo, as I didn't have the opportunity to grab a partner. Death should not be part of the solution to the puzzle, but a way to reset quickly if you mess up (resetting without dying should also be possible at all the major steps):

Spoiler
Players are not intended to use the faith plate, and I used the acid pits as indicators to convey this. They're also there to guarantee that a player has to be in those specific rooms to catch the cube before it falls into the pit (which is in itself a puzzle to figure out). Otherwise, a reset is required. I realize that faith plating to your death is not the most elegant solution, but I think it's the best solution that solves many bigger loopholes/problems with the puzzle.

I may have also underestimated the mechanics of dying (i.e. dying removes portals you placed[?]).

Thank you for the comments and feedback. If there is a solution you have found that can only be done through a death, or one that you think is an unintended solution, please message me or post in this thread. It would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, dying removes your previous portals. It's never helpful to die, and I think people try to avoid it: robots it's not as bad as Chell dying, but your partner will still see you fail. What I was thinking, is i.e. having the catapult just send you back to the start instead of murdering you if you haven't set it correctly. As for the others, if you put a red laser field over their trajectory when they shouldn't be used, one would surely understand the danger.

We just played the map, and when Atlas directed the laser onto the catcher, he was standing on the platform, because we didn't know that there was a platform. The platform moved upwards and the laser lost it's target. So the platform moved back down and Atlas glitched through the floor. While trying to rescue himself by moving the platform up, he lost the cube.

Here are two screenshots of that situation:

After a while, we activated the portal_placement_never_fails cheat to rescue Atlas, and I rated the map 1/5 because we we're so annoyed about that glitch.

You should make something that makes the player seeing the platform much earlier, perhaps a sign.

I'm playing custom maps and record my first time of playing them. So the run is not perfect and may not use only intended ways, but maybe it can let you see how other people may understand the map or you could just enjoy someone playing this map for entertainment.
Anyways, here is the recording:
