[Coop] Evolution #02

This map is the second map of the Evolution maps set.
Each map will have one particular object.
In this second map you will play with funnels.

Great, I loved your first Evolution. I still consider it as one of the best coop maps. If this map has similar difficulty then it should be a hit. Even more appreciated in light of shortage of hard coop maps. Will definitely try this week. Thanks

EDIT: Just played it. Unfortunately this is nowhere near the first Evolution. Took us maybe 10-15 min. Had much higher expectations. Despite this I`m still waiting for no.3. Please make it much harder.

I had really search a long time for a difficult map, but I don't find any solution for now. So the map is easy... If I have a very good idea like the first evolution, then I will add the room to be a third part (maybe the b3 or b4 update). Also, I replay portal 2 to check for ideas, but there isn't any difficult room, just some of them are a little tricky. It's mainly a great scenery, but not a great difficulty for hardcore players.

For now, I think this map isn't as successful as the first one, but maybe more fun to play (easier ?)

At a moment I think about moving funnels (funnel entering rotating platforms...), but since the funnels aren't instantly display, it is a very big problem : only the first few (centi)meters of a funnel is render after the moving portal. I think there is a similar problem for light bridges (the 3rd map theme), and I don't know if lasers have the same problem too.

For now, I'm searching for a global concept of a difficult map. If you know what is a tower of Hano? is, you see what I think ;) The complexity of a map is relative to the number of plate in a tower of Hano?. For the 1st evolution, there is about 2 plates (so easy...). I'm searching now for another two plates tower of Hano? for the 3rd room of funnels.

Last but not least : I've an idea which implies the knowledge of the mechanic of a funnel. I'm searching for a green funnel which is static (speed 0) (and also for light bridge). I've try to put the "color" parameter to green but it only change the emitter color, not the funnel himself. If anyone have a solution, he will greatly help the evolution maps ;)

Redunzl and I were going to play this map last week, but we saw that we hadn't played #1, so we ate up our entire evening chewing on that. This wasn't nearly as hard to figure out. The playthrough is only our second time playing the map. The first time, we spent over an hour figuring out the first room, trying to use

to get to the button stalk. Once we hit on the fling, we got the cube pretty quickly, then spent another half-hour figuring out the

. We spent less than an half-hour getting the second room done.

It looks good, we encountered no bugs, and it was challenging enough to be fun. 4/5 from us.

Small but relatively challenging map, the first area was kinda simple but required some timing, the second was more intellectual, all this in such a small map, Kudos to Cau3T (The Developer).
