the hills are alive... with the sound of music

We thought that this level was really well constructed and looks fantastic, in the current release (v1) we found one possible bug with the cube but that was it, so it's all good 8) This level included some of our favourite past times such as being scared and crying and throwing cubes around :D AWESOME!!!

Really hope you make some more races for us to play through :D And will be good to see what the mapping community have to say about this map (as obviously we don't map and just play the levels). (The video below is a play through so do not watch if you haven't played the level yet).

Throwing the cube in first part is almost tedious with some lag. Other puzzles are nothing special, i liked only the

First things first: you really have to remove the cube throwing at the beginning, it's too laggy for the client.

Among the first to toy with the versus idea, it differentiates from the rest for mixing racing and traps: in Gauntlet Beta it wasn't as easy to die, so you were actually in a time trial; Wheatley's Platforms did the deadly thing without racing. Still unbalanced, as dying efen once spells immediate defeat if the other guy doesn't soon afterwards: too much penalty, could some intermediate respawn stations. Still encomiable, score table was spot on.

But still doesn't look like a finished product: the credits in the intro room are as spine chilling, as the maps in L4D2 which do the same; the "portal 2" title is always on top; the stars ceiling could work better as a skybox; some fizzlers have evidently cut-between textures; black tiles are all weirdly aligned.

Criticisms: It seems to teleport you a bit close to the laser wall, which killed me the first two times. The cube throwing at the beginning isn't very good, as the following video will somewhat show. The vertical platform in the middle looks like it's blocked by glass, and at first I tried to jump (unrealistically far) across because I didn't think that I would be able to portal it.

Also I saw Chell and P-Body appear momentarily, as shown in the video. I don't know why that happened.

We tried to play this race, but my coop partner lagged with this map, so I wouldn't call this fair.

i dont no how i got the cube in the button 1st time.

also check the problem with portal surfaces at 0.20-0.30

overall a good map with many newbie mistakes
