[Coop] Co-op New and Old (Big Update!)
Quote from Strid3r on May 25, 2011, 7:43 pmthis is a relatively easy map and its comprised of 2 chambers. the 1st being of the modern feel and the 2nd being the run down type. hence the name "new and old"
Update Notes V1.4
Fixed several ExploitsUpdate Notes V1.3
FIXES:
Fixed the bug where when standing on the button in the 1st chamber an invisible wall would block your path
Fixed the bug where in the 1st chamber if you picked the cube back up off the button and were standing next to the retractable wall you would get stuck behind it.
Fixed an exploit in the 2nd chamberAdded:
Added directional signs in the 1st chamber to give a little more direction.
Added Texture variation in the 2nd chamber.
Changed the puzzles in Chamber 2 to make it more challenging and not as repetitive.
Added a function in the 2nd chamber where once you get the cube past a fizzler, the fizzler will shut off. so if your on the last segment of the cube sharing portion and you lose the cube, you dont have to do all the puzzles over again.
Fixed the Textures issues that were present in the 1st chamber.
Added a number of smaller tweaks.screen shots: http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd20 ... -59-85.jpg

The second part went pretty well. Great idea for the cube tossing.

Quote from mickyficky on May 26, 2011, 9:01 pmMy partner in science and me, we really liked this map. Keeping the players apart to enhance cooperation is a thing that gets far too little attention.
The second chamber is a bit dull
(always catapulting the cube back and forth)
, which is not to say we didn't like it, it just needs to be a little more challenging after that.
One thing that frequently happened to my clumsy partner in science (he played P-Body) is this: he wanted to lift his cube (for whatever reason) but still stood behind the place where the retractable wall is. What happend: the wall came down, the cube was still on the other side, and he had to use "kill" in console to get back.
Maybe enlarge the distance between the cube and the panel to prevent this from happening.Liked the visuals.
All in all: good work, keep it up.

Quote from Strid3r on May 26, 2011, 10:41 pmThanks for the feedback guys. I'll look into that bug in the first level with the invisible wall and getting behind the wall if you remove the cube. And I have an idea on how to vary up the cube tossing section.
Look for an updated version soon.

Since we filmed our video there have been some updates to this map, but here is our play through (You probably don't want to watch this if you haven't completed this map yet)

Quote from version2_1 on June 24, 2011, 5:57 pmGood map.
The first button on the blue side was quite buggy. I got stuck there multiple times, had to use noclip to get free.
